Day 2

We finally arrived in San Antonio, Texas after spending a second 12-hour day in the van. Here are some observations:

• Louisiana could really stand some highway improvements;



• So could east Texas;



• There are only so many ways to entertain oneself while the miles go rolling by.

We are glad to be here, and we're all really glad to be out of the van. We enjoyed a walk and supper on the riverwalk before heading back to the hotel for a good night's sleep. We did make one very necessary stop. There is an unwritten rule that boys (and girls, for that matter) in Texas must wear the right kind of head gear, so we stopped to pick up the necessary adornment for Elijah. Thought you might enjoy the picture.

Zac plays his piano solo tomorrow. I'll write an update as soon as possible after he plays.

We really missed being at our own church today. We love and miss you all. Love from Texas.
